History & Legal Status

SRADHA was established in 2004 as a women-led, non-profit Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the Societies Registration Act of India. Rooted in a strong commitment to community-led development, SRADHA was founded to bridge the gap between policy and practice in rural and agricultural development, especially in underserved regions.

Over the past two decades, SRADHA has evolved into a nationally recognized organization with a dynamic footprint in agriculture, food and nutrition security, and rural livelihoods. It is a registered vendor with the World Bank Group (Vendor Registration No. 195384) and has worked with several multilateral institutions, including FAO, IFAD, and DANIDA. Through its evidence-based policy advocacy, robust implementation frameworks, and grassroots partnerships, SRADHA has built a reputation for integrity, innovation, and impact in the development sector.
