Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) plays a crucial role in the livelihoods of millions of people worldwide, especially in rural and marginalized communities. While ASM provides an income for workers, it also exposes them to significant health and environmental risks, along with socio-economic challenges. SRADHA’s work in ASM focuses on transforming these challenges into opportunities by promoting safer mining practices, advocating for policy inclusion, and providing livelihood alternatives through skill training.
