Back then, we witnessed the quiet strength of smallholder women farmers who rose with the dawn, nurturing their land with ancestral wisdom and unwavering resolve. Their hands—hardened by seasons of toil—held more than the weight of daily labor; they carried the legacy of generations, rich with knowledge, resilience, and care.

These women were far more than cultivators of crops—they were the backbone of our food systems and silent guardians of the biodiversity that nourishes the earth.
We didn’t arrive with solutions. We came with humility—to listen, to understand, to learn. And in their everyday struggles, we found something remarkable: courage carved from adversity, ingenuity sparked by scarcity, and a steadfast will to not just survive, but thrive.

Since that moment, we chose to walk beside them—not as benefactors, but as partners. Our journey has never been about giving—it has always been about growing together. A journey rooted in mutual respect, nourished by collective dreams, and strengthened through enduring partnerships.

That was 2004.
And from those first steps in the fields, SRADHA has been growing ever since—with them, for them, and because of them.erit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur.
