  • A comprehensive review of the existing literature on plastic waste management and circular economy approaches, with a focus on the South Asian context
  • Analysis of the sources and types of plastic waste generated in South Asia, including both solid and marine plastic waste
  • Assessment of the environmental impacts of plastic waste on land, water bodies, and marine ecosystems in South Asia, including the impacts on biodiversity, water quality, and soil health
  • Evaluation of the health impacts of plastic waste on human populations in South Asia, including the risks of exposure to toxic chemicals and micro-plastics.
  • Developed a circular economy approach for managing plastic waste in South Asia, including waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and recovery strategies, based on analysis of existing approaches and stakeholder input and to produce practical recommendations and guidelines for their promotion and dissemination

Green Batteries for a Sustainable Tomorrow

  • Description: This project focuses on implementing a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries in India, emphasizing sustainable manufacturing, responsible usage, and end-of-life management. It aims to develop LIB-specific policies and regulatory frameworks, promoting eco-friendly practices across the battery lifecycle.

Circular Economy Capacity Building Program

  • Description: Focused on human resource development, this project introduces training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals engaged in the circular economy sector. The program covers battery manufacturing, recycling technologies, and circular economy principles.

Policy Advocacy and Implementation

  • This project concentrates on advocating for circular economy specific policies and regulations at both national and state levels. It involves collaboration with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and environmental experts to draft, implement, and enforce policies supporting a circular economy for batteries.

E-Waste Management Accelerator

  • Encompassing electronic waste, this project accelerates e-waste management in India. It emphasizes the circular economy approach, encouraging the reuse and recycling of electronic components, including lithium-ion batteries.

Environmental Impact Assessment

  • This initiative conducts a comprehensive environmental impact assessment of lithium-ion batteries throughout their lifecycle. The project aims to identify and mitigate potential environmental risks associated with LIB manufacturing, usage, and end-of-life processes.

Circular Economy Awareness Campaign

  • Focused on building public awareness, this project launches a nationwide campaign to educate consumers, businesses, and communities about the importance of circular economy practices for plastics and e-wastes. It includes outreach programs, workshops, and digital campaigns.

  • Qualifications: Ph.D. in Environmental Policy.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in developing and implementing environmental policies.
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of environmental regulations, waste management policies, and circular economy principles.

Regulatory Compliance Expert:

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in Law and Environmental Science.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance related to hazardous waste management.
  • Expertise: Familiarity with legal frameworks and regulations specific to battery recycling.

Stakeholder Engagement Specialist:

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in Communication.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement in environmental projects.

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: 8+ years of research and practical experience in battery recycling technologies.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LIB recycling processes and emerging technologies.

Circular Economy Strategist:

  • Qualifications: Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Experience: 15 years of experience in developing and implementing circular economy strategies.
  • Expertise: Strategic thinking, understanding of economic and environmental intersections.

 Project Management Professional:

  • Qualifications: Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably in sustainability projects.
  • Expertise: Results-driven project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Environmental Scientist:

  • Qualifications: Ph.D. in Environmental Science.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in environmental impact assessments.
  • Expertise: Data analysis, environmental risk assessment, and impact mitigation strategies.

Public Relations and Communications Specialist:

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in Communications.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in crafting and executing public relations and communication strategies.
  • Expertise: Media relations, crisis communication, and public awareness campaign development.
